Book Week 2024

St Kieran's Celebrates Book Week 2024

St Kieran's Primary School is excited to announce its annual celebration of Book Week 2024 with this year's theme "Reading is Magic".  Running from Monday 19 to 23 August the week promises to ignite the imagination of students highlighting the power of reading.

The main feature of the week will be the much anticipated Book Week Parade on Friday, 23 August.  Students are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite book character, turning the school grounds into a magical showcase of beloved literary figures.  From classic heroes to whimsical creatures, the parade will be a celebration of the diverse stories that have captured the hearts of our students.

Principal Mr Ben Gray said "Book Week is a time to celebrate the magic of reading and the endless worlds it opens up for our students".

"We are always thrilled to see the creativity and passion that Book Week inspires each year and we look forward to see our students bring their favourite book characters to life in the parade".

Promoted annually by the Children's Book Council of Australia, schools and public libraries across Australia spend this week celebrating books and Australian authors and illustrators.
