At St Kieran's we actively promote the need for all students to demonstrate leadership by example and through service.
All students in year 6 are encouraged to develop their leadership skills in order to support fellow students and to benefit the wider community. Opportunities to develop these qualities are provided through a range of learning experiences, both in their everyday school life and in targeted leadership ministries. This provides our students with the opportunity to demonstrate responsibility, organisational skills, patience and perseverance.
St Kieran's Leadership Ministries are:
Faith & Mission Team: assist with Liturgies and Masses and concentrates on fundraising initiatives.
Community Team: concentrates on caring for the environment and encouraging all students to take an active role in helping to create a clean, healthy environment in which we learn.
Learning Team: provide opportunities for students to participate in extra activities to develop their problem solving skills and to develop a love of learning.
Cultural Arts Team: focuses on Music, Art and Drama and students facilitate artistic projects throughout the school.
Spirit Team: Students will focus on creating house and whole school spirit during Sports Carnivals.
